This Privacy Policy explains how Chankura (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use chankura.co.za. We are committed to complying with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.
1. Who we are
Chankura is an independent financial scenario engine operated in South Africa. We are not a financial services provider and do not require you to create an account to use our tools.
2. What information we collect
Information you enter into calculators
When you use our calculators (Rentvesting Engine, Solar ROI, Tax Wealth), you input financial figures such as salary, property price, and deposit percentage. This data is processed in-memory to generate your result and is not stored on our servers unless you click “Save & Share”.
If you click “Save & Share”, a snapshot of your inputs and results is stored in our database so that a permanent, shareable result page can be generated. No personally identifying information (name, email, ID number) is collected as part of this.
Analytics data (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 collects standard internet log information (anonymised IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent). This data is aggregated and does not identify you individually. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies to show you ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can manage your personalised ad preferences at Google Ads Settings.

Saved scenario data is stored in a secured database hosted on Render.com (their data centres are located in the United States). We use HTTPS throughout the site to protect data in transit.

- Request deletion of your information
- Object to the processing of your information
